Qualified patients authorized by a neurologist may possess unspecified amounts of “hemp extracts,” which are defined as preparations of cannabis plant material containing less than 0.3 percent THC and more than 5 percent cannabidiol (CBD) by weight. Patients must also possess a “hemp extract identification card” issued by the state Department of Health in order to legally possess high-CBD extract products.
